Lorillard Federal Credit Union College Scholarship Information

Our 2012-2013 Scholarship winners are:

They have each won a $2000 scholarship!! Congratulations on your accomplishment!! We will have a formal presentation at our Annual Meeting, Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Emerald Event Center at 3pm. We will be offering scholarships again next year for the 2013-2014 academic year. Please look for the on-line applications October 1, 2012.

We will award college scholarship(s) for the 2013-2014 academic year. Applications will be available October 1, 2012. Entries must be postmarked or received by the Credit Union by February 15, 2013. Winners will be notified by mail and the scholarship presentation will be at our 2013 Annual Meeting.

Eligibility:

• Graduating high school seniors who will be enrolling in an undergraduate course of study during the 2013-2014 school year at an accredited two year or four year college, university or vocational-technical school.
• Currently enrolled in a two year or four year college, university or vocational-technical school.
• Parent, legal guardian or applicant must be a member in good standing of the credit union.
• High School GPA Minimum of 2.7 or College GPA Minimum of 2.0

Selection Criteria:

The Royster M. Tucker, Jr., Memorial Scholarship Committee will use the following criteria to choose the scholarship recipients:

1. Academic excellence and grade point average
2. Leadership ability as exhibited in extracurricular activities, school activities and community involvement
3. Personal Character
4. Financial Need

1. Submit completed application (download application here)
2. Mail or deliver the application to the credit union in a sealed envelope along with your transcript, essay and letters of recommendation by February 15, 2013

Scholarship funds will be made payable to the school on behalf of the winner(s). Recipient's will be notified via telephone or mail by March 10, 2013. Failure to comply with any of the above rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Mail or deliver entries to:
